Metropolitan Golf Foundation
Established January 2006
Success is attained through hard work and poise, passion and patience, integrity and intelligence. The gift of golf can start a child on a lifetime journey of success and productivity.
The Metropolitan Golf Foundation was created in 2006 by the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association to assist youth (as well as programs that can help youth) embrace the values of golf.
The Metropolitan Golf Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, whose organized purpose is to promote junior golf in Metropolitan St. Louis and Central Illinois by providing golf related services to our area youth.
We need your support to continue the mission of making golf a platform to improve the lives of young people of all socio-economic backgrounds.
Your gifts can help hundreds of children in the region become more fully involved in our great game. Gifts to the Metropolitan Golf Foundation allow all of us to assist in their development as key contributors to our community – the next generation of responsible citizens.

Golf has helped me enjoy life more fully. Now it’s my turn to enrich the lives of deserving youngsters through the great game of golf.
1. Grants
The Metropolitan Golf Foundation will provide financial and administrative assistance to existing community outreach programs (i.e., Youth on Course, The First Tee), as well as those initiated by the Foundation, that enhance and promote the game of golf to children of all ages, especially those who might not have the opportunity to experience the benefits of the game in areas of rules adherence and competition.
2. Scholarships
The Metropolitan Golf Foundation will assist junior amateur golfers traveling to the US Junior Amateur and US Girls' Junior Amateur Championships (with adherence to USGA Rules of Amateur Status). Travel stipends will be awarded to junior golfers who qualify for the Championship and submit an application to the Foundation demonstrating their passion for the game and a financial need.
3. Specific-Need Grants
The Metropolitan Golf Foundation can establish golf-related scholarships/grants in memory of loved ones. Contact the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association to learn more. (314-567-MAGA)
