Fairview Heights, IL - It was a great day at Stonewolf Golf Club for the Amateur Series Event #2. A warm day with sun and a few clouds made it a perfect day for golf. 93 players across seven divisions took to the course in a shotgun start at 9:00am. Players had a blast as they made their way around the course, while building comradery and friendships. As in any round there were some ups and downs, but with some skill and a dash of luck, four players carded an eagle during their round. Luke Lasley made eagle on the par 5, Hole 14. David Riedisser found the hole with two strokes to spare for eagle on the par 5, Hole 6. Wes Allard wasted no time on the par 4, Hole 16, by finding the hole in two strokes for eagle. Lasley, Riedisser, and Allard were all participants in the Open Division. Also on the par 5, Hole 6, James Storey - playing in the Senior Open Division - managed to make an eagle by finding the hole in three strokes. Players that found themselves near the top of the leaderboard at the end of the day, not only got the glory of beating their competitors, but also earned a small payout in the form of a certificate to the Stonewolf pro-shop.

Now that players have had the opportunity to get two events under their belt, the season point standings are in full swing. The top players from each division at the end of the summer will be invited to play in the Series Championship at The Quarry at Crystal Springs in October.
