Old Warson Prepared to Host “Golf’s Longest Day”

There is no denying Old Warson Country Club is one of the finest, most revered clubs in St. Louis. They have played host to the Ryder Cup, two USGA Championships and recently announced it will be the permanent home of the “Old Warson Cup”, the annual match play championship of MAGA. And while Old Warson has hosted other US Open Sectional Qualifiers, the 2013 version may be the most anticipated of any.

“Golf’s Longest Day” was coined by the Golf Channel in 2012 and became an instant success. Monday, 42 gentlemen will tee it up ay Old Warson in hopes of securing one of two spots available in the 113th US Open at Merion Golf Club. The most democratic of the four majors, 9,860 entries were filed and we are down to 957 players to complete the field of 156 next week.

It should be a fun and exciting day with live scoring being performed all day and the Golf Channel on site with updates throughout the day. Spectators are welcome. Check put the Groupings and Starting Times on the MAGA Scoreboard provided by Plaza Motors!
