Dodds Earns Lone Spot to 2013 US Senior Open

Trevor Dodds and Jeff Whitfield earned co-medalist honors at Quincy CC today in US Senior Open Qualifying.  However, only one spot was available to the two pros who shot Even round 70 over the 6456 yard course.  The hole-by-hole playoff for the lone spot and 1st alternate would go to the 300 yard first hole where Dodds would make birdie and punch his ticket to the 2013 US Senior Open at Omaha Country Club July 11-14.

The 2nd alternate spot would come out of another tie at 1-over 71.  Jay Delsing and Steve Lotz would also go to Hole #1 to decide the 2nd alternate spot.  Both players chose driver from the tee.  Lotz wound up driving the putting green and two putt for a birdie and the spot.

Quincy CC was in incredible condition and was noted by several of the participants.  See the full results of the days Qualifying Round on the MAGA Scoreboard.
