52 make cut after Round 1 of US Amateur Q; Souchek leads with 68

105 players started the day at Norwood Hills CC in hopes of securing one of 4 spots available to the 2013 US Amateur in August. After the cut at 5-over 76, almost half of the field survived and still have a shot at one of those spots.

The leader is Steve Souchek who had a round of 3-under 68 on the West Course. Souchek had 5 birdies on the day to earn the top spot after Round 1. Two golfers find themselves one shot back, Carr Vernon and Scott McGrath. Three others, Alex Cusumano, Sean Murphy and Cory Boots, completed Round 1 under par with 70s.

The 2nd Round will begin at 7:30am with the lead group of Souchek, Vernon and Carr teeing off at 10:20am. Visit the following link for all of the groupings and times for Round 2: Round 2 Starting Times
