Qualifying for the 2014 US Women’s Open Championship will be held at Lake Forest Golf & Country Club in Lake St. Louis, MO, on May 20^th.  It is one of approximately 20 36-hole qualifiers for the US Women’s Open Championship, which will be played from June 19-22 at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, NC.

Entries closed on April 30, with a record 1,702 entries being received for the 2014 US Women’s Open.  Fifty-nine (59) golfers will play for two (2) qualifying spots at Lake Forest CC May 20.  Those two qualifiers will continue on to US Women’s Open in June at Pinehurst Resort.

This is our third US Women’s Open Qualifying being conducted by MAGA.  Lake Forest has hosted several USGA Qualifying Rounds over the years.  The course will play to 6,304 yards par 72 for the qualifying rounds and should provide a great test in identifying two ladies to participate in the US Women’s Open.

The field of 59 includes 12 professionals and 47 amateurs. 2013 MAGA Women’s Amateur and MWGA Amateur Champion Catherine Dolan is in the field.  Dolan will play with Selane Henderson (Murrieta, CA) who was runner-up on the Golf Channel’s Big Break Atlantis.

Groupings and Starting Times for Round 1 can be found below or on the MAGA website at www.metga.org.  The morning wave will go off both the 1^st and 10^th Tees at 7:30am.  The afternoon times will begin approximately 45 minutes after the completion of the players morning round.
