#RoadtoPinehurst for the Ladies Begins at Lake Forest Tuesday
Lake Forest Country Club is set to host 59 ladies on Tuesday for 36 holes as the #RoadtoPinehurst begins for the US Women’s Open. The Lake St. Louis, Gary Kern layout is setup at just over 6,300 yards, par 72 and is sure to be a stern test for the competitors.
Two spots in the 2014 US Women’s Open are up for grabs beginning at 7:30am Tuesday. Several local golfers are in the field; including, Catherine Dolan (2013 MWGA and MAGA Women’s Amateur Champion); Brooke Cusumano (Westminster HS; SIU-Carbondale); Logan Otter (Westminster HS) and Emily Goldenstein (Parkway West HS; University of Memphis signee).
Golfers from 16 states are representing the field. Headlining the out-of-state players is the winner of Big Break: Dominican Republic, Blair O’Neal and Runner-Up on Big Break: Atlantis Selanèe Henderson.
The public is welcome to come out to Lake Forest to see which two will advance on to play in the 2014 US Women’s Open at Pinehurst Resort June 19-22.
