Ferris Leads Round 1 of Junior Amateur
Defending Junior Amateur champion Chris Ferris leads after an Even par 71 Monday at Normandie Golf Course in the 15th Junior Amateur Championship. Two shots clear of recent St. Louis District Junior Champion Drew Lilly (73), Ferris looks to become the first two-time recipient of the James M. Holtgrieve Trophy.
In the girls championship, Momo Kikuchi shot a 79 to lead by two shots over Abby Schroeder. Kikuchi is just 12 years old.
In the boys 14-15 age division, Max Kreikemeier fired a 78 to lead Michael Rackers by 3 shots.
