22nd Senior Championship Begins Thursday at Greenbriar
The 50 and over crowd will begin play Thursday at Greenbriar Hills Country Club for the 22nd Senior Championship. This will be MAGA’s first visit to the Kirkwood club in 10 years, last conducting the Junior at Greenbriar in 2004.
Jeff Johnson is the defending champion, he captured the 2013 edition at Sunset Country Club. He will begin play at 9:00am with 2012 champion Andy Frost and Andy Fogarty. Other past champions in the field are Jim Dunn, Scott Edwards and Don Dupske. Thirty-nine golfers will tee it up in the Championship Flight and compete for the George F. Meyer Trophy (pictured with Johnson is the son of George Meyer, Rick).
In total, 93 golfers are registered for the 2014 Senior, our largest field in some time. The rest of the 64 golfers will play in age divisions and compete for Low Gross and Low Net honors.
For all of the groupings and scoring of the 22nd Senior Championship visit the Plaza Motors Scoreboard.
