2014 Amateur Series Comes to Close This Weekend
It has been another successful season for the Metropolitan Amateur Series, our fifth season bringing opportunities for golfers of all ages and skill level to compete in a competitive golf arena. Over 100 golfers participated throughout the season in at least one Amateur Series event, with an average of 55 players in each of the 1-day events that began in April.
The culmination of the season will take place this weekend, where the top golfers from the regular season were invited to 2-day championship. Golfers competed in Scratch Open, Net Open, Senior Scratch and Net Divisions throughout the season, earning points along the way to get into the season ending championship. Aberdeen will once again host the championship.
