Cy Moritz continued his fine play from Saturday to capture the 2015 Old Warson Cup.  Moritz, the 16-seed coming into the weekend, would ultimately defeat 5-time champion Skip Berkmeyer 2&1 to permanently etch his name onto the Old Warson Cup.

The University of Central Missouri product defeated his teammate Teddy Jones 1up in the morning Semifinal match to reach the final.  He attributed consistent play, making pars and no big mistakes to being key to his match play success.  Berkmeyer, who has been runner-up in the match play on several occasions, also commented on the fine play of Moritz in the final.

With this victory, Moritz is excited about the busy summer coming up.  He is playing in the North & South at Pinehurst and plans on playing in the major events around the area.
