Schenk Leads Metropolitan Open by 4 at 10-under Par
Adam Schenk and Steven Ihm should have a comfortable round together in the final pairing of the 10th Metropolitan Open Championship, they have been roommates the past several months on the PGA Latin America Tour. Schenk fired a 6-under 64 to take a four shot lead into Sunday’s final round and sits at 10-under total for the Championship.
Schenk, a Purdue University graduate, is coming off a second place finish at the Indiana Open last week. He said he is looking forward to Sunday’s final pairing with his roommate, it should be “just like playing a practice round together.” The final pairing will go at 10:20am at The Country Club of St. Albans.
Ihm followed up his opening round 66 with a 2-under 68 today to sit alone in 2nd. Two players are 3 shots back in T-3, Dustin Korte and Brian Anderson.
A total of 41 players made the cut at 145 for Sunday, including three amateurs. Mitchell Rutledge is currently the low amateur at 142 with brother Joe and Sam Migdal also surviving the cut.
Should be an exciting final round at The Country Club of St. Albans, the final round begins at 7:00am with the leaders going off at 10:20am. Check out the final pairings and follow along with LIVE hole-by-hole scoring of the final groups on Sunday via the Plaza Motors Scoreboard link below.
