Migdal Maintains Lead, 2009 Champ Berkmeyer is 2 Back
It was a tough scoring day at Boone Valley Golf Club in Round 2 of the 25th Metropolitan Amateur Championship. One person of 156 player field, shot a round of par or better. Michael Johnson had a round of 2-under 69 teeing off in the morning wave on Friday.
Sam Migdal, Round 1 leader, maintains a 2 shot lead heading to Saturday’s final round. Migdal had the low round Thursday with a 5-under 66, but 2-over 73 brought him back to the pack. He leads the championship at 3-under going to Saturday.
Migdal will be paired with the only other competitor under par, 2009 champion Skip Berkmeyer sits at 1-under. Berkmeyer had a 72 on Friday to find himself in the final pairing. These two will tee it at 10:10am at Boone Valley.
