Berkmeyer/Nurski Headed Back to US Four-Ball, Share Medalist Honors with Hillen/Spillane
The teams of Skip Berkmeyer/Brad Nurski and Wes Hillen/J.B. Spillane fired 7-under rounds of 63 at Quincy Country Club Monday to earn the two qualifying spots into the 2016 US Amateur Four-Ball Championship. The championship will be played May 17-22 at Winged Foot Golf Club in New York.
Hillen/Spillane were in the 2nd group off in the morning thus posted their 63 early on. Hillen stated “it was the longest 4 hours” he has waited around a golf course after playing. Berkmeyer/Nurski played in the 2015 US Amateur Four-Ball at the Olympic Club, thus earning back-to-back spots. They made match play in San Francisco before falling the first round.
