Gateway Cup Matches, April 10-11 at CC of St. Albans
The Gateway Cup Matches will be contested April 10-11 at The Country Club of St. Albans on the Lewis & Clark Course. This has become an annual event pitting the top amateurs from the Metropolitan region against the top Gateway PGA professionals. Skip Berkmeyer and Tom Barry, MAGA’s reigning Player and Senior Player of the Year, will serve as Co-Captains of the matches.
Each side will consist of fourteen (14) players, ten (10) regulars and four (4) seniors. MAGA’s selection process will consist of the top eight (8) regulars and two (2) seniors from the 2015 Player of the Year Points will receive automatic invites and then two captains picks from both the regular and seniors.
The Gateway PGA retained the Gateway Cup in 2015 with a dominating 22.5 to 5.5 victory over the amateurs at Bellerive CC.
