Migdal and Berkmeyer to Compete Again for the Old Warson Cup
The semifinal matches of the 2017 Old Warson Cup took place this morning. The first match between defending champion Sam Migdal, and Phil Caravia was quite the event. Migdal ended up winning the match over Caravia 5 & 4 and getting him back to the finals, a position he is familiar with.
The second match of the day consisted of Skip Berkmeyer and Chad Niezing. Berkmeyer took an early lead, as he was 4 up through the first 6 holes. Niezing put up a good fight, shortening the lead to 2 at one point. But Berkmeyer held onto his lead and winning the match 3 & 2.
The final match will be a repeat of last year’s Old Warson Cup. Sam Migdal and Skip Berkmeyer tee off for the finals at 11:40 AM.
