U.S. Junior Qualifying Headed to Southern Illinois
MAGA will conduct qualifying for the 2017 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at The Links of Kokopelli in Marion, IL on Tuesday June 27. This will be the first time a USGA qualifying round will be conducted in the Southern Illinois Golf Association territory.
Fifty-seven (57) juniors will play in the new, 18-hole format, for the opportunity to play in the 2017 U.S. Junior Championship July 17-22 at Flint Hills National Golf Club in Andover, KS. Two (2) qualifying spots are up for grabs.
The 2017 championship brings some changes to the U.S. Junior landscape. First, the qualifying process is reduced to 18-hole from 36 in years past and 18 year olds are eligible for the 1st time.
Starting times will begin at 7:30a at Kokopelli on Tuesday. For all of the groupings and to follow scoring on Tuesday, visit the link below.
