Four Advance to U.S. Mid-Amateur in October

The 2017 U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifying was conducted Tuesday at Meadowbrook Country Club with 78 golfers vying for four spots into the championship.  Three of those 78 came out of the field sharing medalist honors at 2-under par 70.  Patrick Bader (pictured at left), Andrew Pranger and Bryan Bohme shared the medalist h0nor and moved on to the U.S. Mid-Amateur.  The Mid-Amateur will be played at Capital City Club in Atlanta, GA October 7-12.

The final spot went to Missouri Golf Association Executive Director Scott Hovis who fired a 1-under round of 71.  Alternate spots would go to Tom Wuennenberg (1st Alt.) and Tyler Comerford (2nd Alt.).  They were at Even par 72 on the day with 3 others and would take 8 playoff holes to decide the alternate spots.
