2017 Amateur Series Wraps Up With 2-Day Championship

The 2017 Amateur Series presented by Imperial Headwear finished up another season long slate of events over the weekend with the season ending 2-day Championship at Aberdeen Golf Club.  34 golfers in 4 Divisions competed in the season ending event.  

Joe Christian walked away with the title in the Open Division.  Christian completed the weekend with rounds of 77-77 (+10) to get by Steve Rommerskirchen by 2 shots.  

In the Open Net Division, Thomas Rafferty had a great weekend with rounds of 75-68 (-1) to be the lone under par score in the Open Net.  He captured the Division by 6 shots over Regular Season champion Cory Mahoney.  

Ollie Crow won a playoff in the Senior Open Division over James Storey and Schooner Fitzgerald to win the Championship.  They all finished 36 holes at 152 (+8).  Crow won both the Regular Season and Championship in 2017.  

Bill Braun had two solid days at Aberdeen with rounds of 72-67 (-5) to capture the Senior Net Division.  Braun got by Timothy Montgomery by 2 shots for the title.
