Berkmeyer Maintains Lead Into Final Round
Skip Berkmeyer will head into Saturday’s final round with a 1-shot lead after rounds of 68-71, 3-under for the championship. Berkmeyer will be in search of his second victory in the Amateur having won in 2009 at Bellerive CC.
2016 champion Drew Pranger leads a trio of golfers one back of Berkmeyer. Joining him is Alex Cusumano and Kyle Syzhowski who all finished their 36-holes at 2-under. Pranger and Berkmeyer will be in the final pairing on Saturday.
Crimson Callahan is the only other golfer heading to the weekend under par, he posted a 1-under total. In all, 40 golfers survived the cut to the final round at 10-over for the championship.
