Rainy Day at Old Hickory for 2018 Four-Ball Championship
2018 FOUR-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
St. Louis knew it was coming, eventually, but the 54 players who teed it up at Old Hickory Golf Club Friday certainly had hoped it would not be Friday. In less than desirable conditions, those players persevered and completed the 2018 Metropolitan Four-Ball.
Seventeen of the teams played in the Open Division on Friday. Ryan Munos and Chris Marziani survived the day and posted a 5-under 67 to come away as the 2018 Open Division Champions. Six birdies and 1 bogey on the day would get the side to their 5-under score. The side of Marziani/Munos bested the field by 2-shots, there was a 3-way tie for Runner-Up at 69. Those sides were David Strickland/Ryan Sullivan, Tyler Ward/Ryan Rerich and Tom Sinak/Pat Riordan.
In the Net Division, the side of King Edmonston/Marvin Frazier would end up in a tie with Tom Grossman/Dan Simmons. Both sides shot 2-under 70 over the Old Hickory layout. A scorecard playoff was performed and Edmonston/Frazier (pictured at left) would edge Grossman/Simmons out for the title.
