2018 Amateur Series Wraps Up Another Successful Season at Aberdeen Over Weekend
AMATEUR SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS | SEASON POINTS STANDINGS
The Amateur Series presented by Imperial Headwear wrapped up another season over the past weekend. 41 teed it up in the season ending two-day championship. Around 100 golfers competed throughout the summer in six one-day events around area golf courses which started in April. These golfers competed in one of 6 Divisions during the year.
Golfers earned points throughout the year at each event to qualify for the season ending championship. The 2018 Regular Season point champions earned an automatic spot into the championship, they were:
- Open Division: Joe Christian
- Open Net Division: Cory Mahoney
- Senior Open Division: David Rudd
- Senior Net Division: Tim Montgomery
- Super Senior Open Division: Schooner Fitzgerald
- Super Senior Net Division: Marvin Frazier
In the championship over the weekend, two of the above validated their year long play by taking the season ending championship. Cory Mahoney (Open Net) and Schooner Fitzgerald (Super Senior Open). Here are all of our Division Champions from the weekend:
- Open Division: Clint Hamel
- Open Net Division: Cory Mahoney
- Senior Open Division: Steve McFadden
- Senior Net Division: Perry Smith
- Super Senior Open Division: Schooner Fitzgerald
- Super Senior Net Division: Bill Braun
