KCGA Retains Mid-America Junior Cup with 9-7 Victory
2018 MID-AMERICA JUNIOR CUP MATCH RESULTS
The Cup will return to Kansas City another year after this weekends 20th Mid-America Junior Cup matches were held at Bogey Hills Country Club. KCGA held a 4.5-3.5 lead following Saturday’s sessions of Four-Ball Match Play and Foursomes. The first time in the 20 year history both of these sessions would be played in one-day and adding Singles Matches to the outcome of the Mid-America Junior Cup.
MAGA would get the first 2 points of the Singles Matches with Claire Solovic and Nicole Rallo winning their matches out of the gate, 7&6 and 1up respectively. Hunter Niles would put the 3rd point of the day on the board for MAGA with a 4&3 victory. Brooke Biermann capped off MAGA’s 3.5 points on the day with a Halve in her match.
KCGA retained the cup with the 9-7 win, needing 8.5 points to do so. MAGA still leads the overall series 9-8-3 for its 20-year history. For all of the weekend results, use the link at the top of the page.
