Adrian Brown to Join MAGA Staff
St. Louis, MO – Adrian Brown was a PJ Boatwright Intern for the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association in 2017 and 2018. This summer, Brown will return as the Manager, SIGA Programs and assist with programs and championships of the Southern Illinois Golf Association (SIGA).
The SIGA office will close its physical office in Carterville at the end of March. Brown, a full-time teacher now after completing her education at McKendree College last spring, will join the MAGA staff on a part-time basis to oversee the SIGA championships, website and Junior Golf Tour (JGT) to name a few.
Brown is a life-long Southern Illinois resident who is very familiar with MAGA’s member clubs in this region. Stewart Gilmore, has been the life-blood of the SIGA for many years, will step aside for Brown to move into this position. Gilmore will remain involved with the SIGA programs and assist Brown as she transitions into this new position.
The SIGA conducts four (4) championships each summer and conducts the SIGA Junior Golf Tour (JGT). In 2018, the SIGA was designated as a supporting organization of MAGA, the regions Allied Golf Association. For more information, visit www.sigagolf.org.
The Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association conducts ten (10) championships, ten (10) USGA qualifying rounds and its Amateur Series of events each season.
