Ciaramitaro Fires Opening Round 64 to Lead at Spencer T. Olin

Alex Ciaramitaro opened the 16th East Side Amateur on Saturday with a flawless round of 64, 8-under par.  Ciaramitaro had eight (8) birdies and 10 pars on his scorecard to lead at Spencer T. Olin GC.

Ciaramitaro will take a 3-shot lead into Sunday’s Round 2 over Buddy Allen.  Allen, the 2018 Senior Player of the Year, also posted a error free scorecard with 5 birdies and the rest pars for his 67.  Allen is one shot ahead of the duo of Ryan Sullivan and Curtis Brokenbrow.  Ciaramitaro will play in the final grouping Sunday with Allen and Brokenbrow and they will go at 12:10pm.

Not only is Allen in contention for the Open Division but has a 4-shot cushion in the Senior Division to Joe Malench and Mike Oneill.  New to the East Side this season, golfers are competing in both the Open and Senior Divisions.  Allen is leading the Senior Division over Malench and Oneill while also playing from the Open teeing grounds.

The final round begins at 7:00am with the final grouping teeing off at 12:10pm.  For all of Round 1 results and to see where everyone is playing in Round 2 click on the link below.
