McCraine to Receive Association’s Highest Honor

Long-Time MAGA Volunteer Ray McCraine to be Honored

M. Ray McCraine began his career volunteering with MAGA in 1992, the year the Association was born.  He was one of the original Board of Directors and remained in that roll until he retired in 2018, serving as Association President from 1998-2000.  One of, if not his most important roles, with MAGA was his contribution as Chairman, Course Rating Committee from 1993-2010.  McCraine estimates he rated every course in the region and many more than once over that period of time.

Nationally, McCraine was on the USGA Senior Amateur Committee from 1997-2017 while also serving on the NBC Television Committee at the US Open and US Senior Open during that same span.

McCraine joins the following list of those who have served the game and received the Meritorious Service Award from MAGA.
