MAGA Mourns Passing of Judge Charles Shaw
Shaw Served On Original MAGA Board of Directors
The Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association (MAGA) is saddened to share the news of the passing of the Honorable Charles A. Shaw, Senior Judge of the United State District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Judge Shaw was an original member of MAGA’s Board of Directors. Shaw was a fierce advocate for diversity and inclusion in the game.
MAGA Founder and USGA Past President Tom O’Toole, Jr. had this to say, “Judge Shaw was the driving force behind MAGA’s early strategy to be an all-inclusive golf association. For me personally, Charles’ vision, is what shaped my view and was a guiding light for my inclusion platform during my long USGA journey. His inclusion advocacy lives on! RIP my friend.”
