28th Women’s Championship kicks off today at Greenbriar Hills

Beautiful New Jayne M. Watson Trophy Unveiled

Groupings & Starting Times | Scoring

The 28th edition of the Metropolitan Women’s Amateur Championship, originally scheduled for June, will kick off today at Greenbriar Hills Country Club.  40 ladies will tee it up for 36 holes the next couple days.  Twenty-one of those will play for the Jayne M. Watson Trophy and be the first to hoist the beautiful new trophy seen in the picture above.  Nineteen other ladies will play in the Net Championship over two flights.

Emily Goldenstein won the 2019 Championship at Gateway National Golf Links, she is not in the field this week to defend her title.

Starting times will begin at 9:30a, pushed back a bit after the overnight storms again wreaked havoc on courses in the area.
