2020 Sobbe Cup Final Four Results
With their first trip to the Thomas O. Sobbe Cup playoffs, Westborough Country Club claimed the title Friday with an overtime victory over The Legends Country Club. The two squads completed play in a 3-3 tie which then goes to a hole-by-hole sudden death playoff. Sean Brennan and Skip Berkmeyer went to the 18th hole at Old Hickory to decide the match. Brennan rolled in a birdie putt from off the fringe to clinch the win and bring the Sobbe Cup back to Berry Road!
In the Semifinals, Westborough would take down Tapawingo National Golf Club 5-1 to advance to the afternoon Final. The Legends edged out Greenbriar Hills 3.5-2.5 to advance.
