Callahan Set to Defend Old Warson Cup Title
Ladue, MO – After taking a year off due to the pandemic, the Old Warson Cup returns this weekend, June 5-6, at Old Warson Country Club. Crimson Callahan, the 2019 champion, is set to defend his title.
The 16-player field was determined by Players of the Year Standings from the year prior.
Ten of the sixteen-players from the 2019 field are back in the field for this year’s playing.
This marks the second match play event of the year after the inaugural Robert A. Shogren Cup was played in May. Ten of the 16 players who will tee it up at Old Warson were on MAGA’s team that went up against the Gateway PGA at Bellerive.
The two-day event gets underway with round of 16 matches Saturday morning beginning at 7:00 a.m. The finals are scheduled for noon on Sunday.
Crimson Callahan defeated Drew Pranger in the Finals in 2019, needing 19 holes to win 1-up.
Match results are available in GolfGenius with the GGID AWYUWV.
