LIVE SCORING | GROUPINGS AND TEE TIMES
Washington, MO – The 12th Metropolitan Four-Ball Championship is set for July 11-12 at Franklin County Country Club in Washington.
The two-day event will be 36 holes at stroke play. Two competitors will play as partners, each playing his/her own ball. The lowest score of the partners is the team’s score for the hole. If one partner fails to complete the play of the hole, there is no penalty. 44 teams will participate in four Divisions: 24 in the Open, three in the Net, 13 in the Senior, and four in the Women’s. The Senior and Women’s Divisions will have Gross and Net Flights.
Last year’s co-Net Champion, John Rosenbaum, returns to his home course with a new playing partner. His winning team went 12-under (62-68) over the two days of play.
Tony Gumper and Ryan Sullivan make up a pairing in the field. Gumper won the East Side Amatuer, MAGA’s first championship of the 2021 season, while Sullivan was on MAGA’s team at the Inaugural Shogren Cup, a Ryder-Cup style event.
Buddy Allen and Brian Lovett join the field as a team in the Senior Division. Allen is the reigning Senior Men’s Player of the Year, while Lovett participated in the Inaugural Shogren Cup playing for MAGA’s team. Lovett is in the field for the U.S. Senior Open this week at Omaha Country Club.
Jason Landry and Chris Kovach will tee it up as a team. The pair both were in the field at the Old Warson Cup this past May.
First round gets underway Sunday, July 11, at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. Final round will have tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m.
