The Quarry at Crystal Springs Set to Host Amateur Series Championship

Maryland Heights, MO – The 2021 Amateur Series Championship is set for this coming Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 11-12, at The Quarry at Crystal Springs.
68 players are scheduled to compete. To be invited, a player had to finish in the top-18 of their respective division points-wise and had to have played in at least two events.
All six division leaders will be in the field.
Robert Rheiner – Net Division
- Played in all six events with one win at Annbriar Golf Club
- Finished runner-up at Persimmon Woods Golf Club
- Finished top-14 in all six events with five top-10s
Courtney Cooper – Open Division
- Had two wins (Woods Fort Golf Club and Sunset Hills Country Club)
- Finished runner-up at Birch Creek Golf Club
- Placed top-3 in four of the six events
John Epps – Senior Net Division
- Finished top-eight in all six events
- Had a third-place finish at Sunset Hills Country Club
Ollie Crow – Senior Open Division
- Played in five events and tallied four wins
- Shot under par in two of four wins (5-under at Birch Creek Golf Club and 2-under at Annbriar Golf Club)
- Worst finish was third place at Woods Fort Golf Club
King Edmonston – Super Senior Net Division
- Played in all six events with three third place finishes
- Never finished worse than eighth all season
Pam Lenhard – Women’s Net Division
- Played in five events with two wins, at Annbriar Golf Club and Sunset Hills Country Club
- Finished runner-up at Persimmon Woods Golf Club
Amateur Series events are open to all ages and skill levels. The 2021 schedule features six events leading up to the Amateur Series Championship, Oct. 11-12, at The Quarry Golf Club.
The Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association introduced the Amateur Series to provide individuals of all ages and playing abilities the opportunity to compete on a level playing field with others. Players can choose from several Divisions to play within based on their age and whether they want to play in a gross or net competition.
The Metropolitan Amateur Series is sponsored by Imperial.
Monday’s first round will be a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. Tuesday’s final round will be starting times off hole No. 1.
