In 2011, St. Louis Country Club followed Meadowbrook as host of the Amateur and they will do so again in 2021.  Ryan Penfield, coming off his career at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, would capture the title in 2011 at the Country Club.

Head Golf Professional at St. Louis Country Club Grant Masson commented on hosting the 2021 Championship, “The St. Louis Country Club is honored to host the Metropolitan Amateur Championship in 2021. St. Louis Country Club has a rich history hosting men’s and women’s professional and amateur golf tournaments. This classic Charles Blair McDonald course will offer a spectacular setting and a unique experience for the players and we look forward to a great tournament.”

The Metropolitan Amateur Champion is awarded the Jim Tom Blair Trophy along with MAGA’s Gold Medal.  Brad Carpenter took home the title in 2019 at Aberdeen in record breaking performance with the lowest 54-hole total in history, 206 (-7).
